The PS3 2.53 firmware update which, according to a rogue PlayStation.com post, was originally expected for release out last week, has finally been released.

Even though the official PlayStation blog still says the update is “coming soon”, turning on your PS3 now will prompt the update, which adds improved, full-screen Flash Player support in the PS3’s web browser.
The update also includes power save options to stop your controllers dieing out and “the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 format software has been improved.” Read
