Measuring less than an inch, sporting 8-inch 1600×768 screen and 3G support, the netbook will sell for $900 (Rs. 43,700)
Sony announced VAIO P series netbook, equipped with Verizon WWAN 3G mobile broadband, at the ongoing CES 2009 expo. The netbook will begin shipping in February at price of $900 (Rs. 43,700).
The netbook has a unique 8-inch LED backlit screen with 2.08:1 aspect ratio, giving 1600×768 pixel resolution with full keyboard.

Measuring just under an inch and weighing less than 1.4 pounds, VAIO P looks good for bloggers and writers. Its unique design makes it easy to slide inside your overcoat pocket or bag. VAIO P sports 1.6GHz CPU (might be Intel Atom) and 128GB SSD instead of HDD. Running Windows Vista, VAIO P also features XMB interface (XrossMediaBar) for faster access to key functions.
This netbook also includes WiFi 802.11n, GPS and Bluetooth for connectivity options.

Aimed at the lifestyle audience looking for high-speed Internet connectivity on the move, this netbook is a bit over-priced and will take a while to reach Indian markets.
