Hp g60 519wm laptop

There wasn’t exactly much secrecy left around this one after ads started popping up online, but Walmart’s now set aside any doubt about its $300 HP G60-519WM laptop with a listing for it on its website, which also thankfully includes the complete specs for it. Apparently built exclusively for Walmart by HP, this particular model packs a 15.6-inch WXGA display, along with previously rumored specs including a 2.2GHz Celeron 900 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a LightScribe DVD burner, and some basic Intel GMA 4500M integrated graphics — not to mention Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit edition for an OS. Not exactly the worst deal for someone looking for bigger, more full-featured alternative to a netbook, to be sure, but we have a feeling this is just a taste of what’s to come for bargain hunters on Black Friday.

Verizon Droid Eris – The Motorola Droid Verizon Wireless Black Friday Deals

Verizon

Droid

Many Verizon Wireless stores across the country will be opening early on November 6th to give eager customers first dibs on the Motorola Droid.  The wireless carrier, which has over 2000 retail locations, will be opening stores as early as 7 am.  Customers, however, are advised to check their local store’s opening time beforehand due to some of Verizon’s retail locations not being able to open early.

Along with giving customers the opportunity to be early adopters of the Droid, Verizon has all sorts of fanfare planned for the phone’s launch event.  In
New York, Verizon will be creating an interactive experience called “Droid Does Times Square.”  Customers participating in the experience will be able to control the NASDAQ and Reuters digital billboards by voice command.  For customers who walk into any of its retail stores across the county, Verizon is also planning extensive demonstrations that show off the Droid’s features.

The Motorola Droid is Verizon’s first Android 2.0 smartphone.  Among the Driod’s features are:

  • Fast data access speeds via Verizon’s 3G network or WiFi.
  • Integration with social networking applications such as Facebook.
  • A multi protocol capable email client.
  • A 5 megapixel camera with an auto-focus lens and LED flash.

The Motorola Droid will be available on or after November 6th for $199 and a two year contract exclusively at Verizon Wireless stores or online at the carrier’s website, BlackFriday

Analog high-definition television system

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Historically the term high-definition television was first used to refer to television standards developed in the 1930s to replace early experimental systems with as few as 12 lines. Not long afterwards John Logie Baird, Philo T. Farnsworth and Vladimir Zworykin had each developed competing TV systems, but resolution was not the issue that separated their substantially different technologies, it was patent interference lawsuits and deployment issues given the tumultuous financial climate of the late ’20s and ’30s.

The British 405-line system was the first to advertise itself as high definition and see widespread use. Most patents were expiring by the end of World War II leaving the market wide open and no worldwide standard for television agreed upon. The standards introduced in the early 1950s stayed for over half a century.
